About this tool
Combine several PDF files into a single document: contracts and their attachments, scanned pages, reports and appendices. Add your files, put them in the order you want, and download one PDF.
Everything runs in your browser. Your PDFs are read on your device and are never uploaded, which matters for contracts, invoices and ID scans.
How it works
- Add two or more PDF files. You can select several at once, or add more later.
- Use the up and down arrows to put the files in the right order, and the remove button to drop a file.
- Choose a page size if you want every page to match (for example, when mixing A4 and Letter pages).
- Press Merge PDFs, then Download merged PDF.
What is kept, and what is not
- Text stays selectable and searchable. The tool copies the original pages rather than turning them into images, so quality does not drop and the file does not balloon.
- Bookmarks (the outline in a PDF viewer's sidebar) and interactive form fields in the source files may not be carried over to the merged file.
- Password-protected PDFs cannot be merged. Remove the password in the app you created the file with, then add it again.
Limits
- Up to 50 MB per file and 200 MB in total. The files are processed in your browser's memory, so a device with little memory may struggle with very large PDFs.
- Damaged or unusual PDFs can fail to load. If one does, the message names the file so you can leave it out.
FAQ
Q. Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?
A. No. The merge happens in your browser. The page does not send your files anywhere.
Q. Is there a limit on the number of pages?
A. There is no page limit, only the file size limits above.
Q. Can I merge only some pages of a file?
A. This tool merges whole files. The Japanese site has a PDF splitter that we plan to translate, which you could use first to extract the pages you need.
